HOW TO REACH OUR SYROS BASE
There are domestic flights from
Athens to Syros and back with Olympic Air www.olympicair.com.
Ferries
There are daily high-speed vessels and ferries from Piraeus,
Rafina or Lavrion, with a
duration of trip from 2,5 to 4,5 hours
approximately. Note that in Greece
the ferry companies give their binding schedules, only very short-termed.

Syros Harbor and Airport are
located 12 km from Finikas Marina.
Local Bus
The bus departs from the ferry harbor every 1/2 - 1 hour. The bus
arrives in Finikas approximately 400m from the
pier.
Taxi
You can find taxis at Syros Harbor or Airport.
MEETING POINT/OFFICE
The Yachting Power meeting point is directly on your yacht,
contact our base manager by mobile phone upon your arrival.
Base Manager
It may happen that somebody our our Athens staff provides all services/ procedure. In
this case, you will receive an advice 1 week prior to embarkation.
Return of the
yacht.
One day or at
least a couple of hours before you return to Finikas
charter base (at the end of your charter), please inform our base manager (by
mobile phone) about your ETA at the port, in order to be able to help you
with the berthing procedure. There are some mooring lines, but our staff
may require you to use your anchor.
MOORINGS
Berth stern-to or bow-to in the inner harbour
or in calm weather off the outside of the mole. No mooring lines are
available in the marina, PLEASE USE YOUR ANCHOR!
FACILITIES
Water is available on the quay. No 220V power installation
is available on the dock.
Fuel is delivered on the quay by a car-tanker.
Parking Area: The Marina of Finikas
has a limited free parking area.
Bank Transactions: In Syros
Town you can find several banks. Banks are open
08:00 - 13:30 Monday - Friday and they all provide cash machines. Close
to the Marina you can find a 24 hour
automatic cash machine.
Electricity: The pier in Finikas
Marina is equipped with 220 V.
WC showers/ toilets are available in the marina.
PROVISIONING
There is a mini market nearby the “marina”. In order to avoid carrying your
provisions under the hot Greek sun, a bigger supermarket in the main town can
send a car to give you the lift to the store and back to the yacht.
RESTAURANTS
Many tavernas, restaurants, cafes and bars are
located within walking distance of the yachts’ berths, though more options
are found in the Hermoupolis main town.

The prevailing wind in this area blows from N-NW at force 4-6B. For more
