Yachting Power - Base of Parikia, Paros Island

PAROS Charter base - Cyclades islands

Parikia (Paroikia) port is located in Paroikia bay which is the main port of Paros island for all kinds of vessels. The taxi ride from the airport  to the marina takes about 20 minutes. The ferry terminal from the marina is at a 10-minutes walk.

Paros Island can be reached by plane or by ferry. The airport only caters to domestic flights. The flying time from Athens to Paros is about 35 minutes. The airport is located 9km far from the capital of Paros, Parikia but you can find public buses that run frequently from/ to the airport. Taxis are also available.
From May to September there are more than 3-4 ferries leaving every day from Piraeus Port/Athens to Paros (duration 3-5.5 hours). In off season months (April and October) the ferry connections are reduced by 50%.

The Yachting Power meeting point is directly on your yacht, contact our base manager by mobile phone upon your arrival.

Return of the yacht.
One day or at least a couple of hours before you return to Paros charter base (at the end of your charter), please inform our base manager (by mobile phone) about your ETA at the port, in order to be able to help you with the berthing procedure. There are some mooring lines, but our staff may require you to use your anchor.

Berth stern-to or bow-to in the inner harbour or in calm weather off the outside of the mole. No mooring lines are available in the marina, PLEASE USE YOUR ANCHOR!

Water is available on the quay. No 220V power installation is available on the dock. The base staff uses a portable generator which can only be used when necessary.
Fuel is delivered on the quay by a car-tanker.
The main street is a 3-minute walk from the dock and the main town of Paros a 10-minute walk.
Taxis you will find at the big square on your way to the main town – less than 10 minutes walk. The base staff can call a taxi for you.
The local bus terminal connecting Paros with many villages/ beaches of the island is at the North end of Parikia town..
ATM cash point and a couple of banks are located near the yacht’s pier.
No specific parking area is found into the "marina" area. The base manager will advise you the safest place to park your car.
No WC showers/ toilets are available in the marina.

There is a mini market nearby the “marina”. In order to avoid carrying your provisions under the hot Greek sun, a bigger supermarket in the main town can send a car to give you the lift to the store and back to the yacht.

Many tavernas, restaurants, cafes and bars are located within walking distance of the yachts’ berths, though more options are found in the Parikia main town marina.

The prevailing wind in this area blows from N-NW at force 4-6B. For more weather details you may check Yachting Power web page at

Beware of the rocks Ag. Spiridhonos, Vouves, Kaki Skala, Peponas on the N-NW side of the port entrance.
When too windy, the port is dangerous and it is advisable you leave the dock and stay the night by anchor, at the North end of the bay closed to the beach .
