THE MARINA
Parikia
(Paroikia) port is located in Paroikia bay which is the main
port of Paros island for all kinds of vessels. The taxi ride
from the airport to the marina takes about 20 minutes.
The ferry terminal from the marina is at a 10-minutes walk.
HOW TO REACH OUR PAROS BASE
Paros Island can be reached
by plane or by ferry. The airport only caters to
domestic flights run once a
day from Athens by
Olympic
Air
www.olympicair.com and cost
approximately 70 Euro per person. The flying time from
Athens to Paros is about 35 minutes. The airport is located
9km far from the capital of Paros, Parikia but you can find
public buses that run frequently from/ to the airport. Taxis
are also available.
From May to September there are
more than 3-4 ferries
leaving every day from Piraeus Port/Athens to Paros
(Ticket cost Euro 25-30 per person and duration 3-5.5
hours). In off season months (April and October) the ferry
connections are reduced by 50%.

on your yacht, contact our base manager by mobile phone upon
your arrival.

It may happen
that somebody our our Athens staff provides all services/
procedure. In this case, you will receive an advice 1-2
weeks prior to embarkation.
Return of the yacht.
One day or at least a couple of hours before you return to
Paros charter base (at the end of your charter), please
inform our base manager (by mobile phone) about your ETA
at the port, in order to be able to help you with the
berthing procedure. There are some mooring lines, but
our staff may require you to use your anchor.
MOORINGS
Berth stern-to or bow-to in the inner harbour or in
calm weather off the outside of the mole. No mooring lines
are available in the marina, PLEASE USE YOUR ANCHOR!
FACILITIES
Water is available on the quay. No 220V
power installation is available on the dock. The base staff
uses a portable generator which can only be used when
necessary.
Fuel is delivered on the quay by a
car-tanker.
The main street is a 3-minute walk from the
dock and the main town of Paros a 10-minute walk.
Taxis you will find at the big square on
your way to the main town – less than 10 minutes walk. The
base staff can call a taxi for you.
The local bus terminal connecting Paros
with many villages/ beaches of the island is at the North
end of Parikia town..
ATM cash point and a couple of
banks are located near the yacht’s pier.
No specific parking area is found into the
"marina" area. The base manager will advise you the safest
place to park your car.
No WC showers/ toilets are available in the
marina.
PROVISIONING
There is a mini market nearby the “marina”. In order to
avoid carrying your provisions under the hot Greek sun, a
bigger supermarket in the main town can send a car to give
you the lift to the store and back to the yacht.
RESTAURANTS
Many tavernas, restaurants, cafes and bars are located
within walking distance of the yachts’ berths, though more
options are found in the Parikia main town marina.
THE WEATHER
The prevailing wind in this area blows from N-NW at force

HAZARDS
Beware of the rocks Ag. Spiridhonos, Vouves, Kaki
Skala, Peponas on the N-NW side of the port entrance.
When too windy, the port is dangerous and it is advisable
you leave the dock and stay the night by anchor, at the
North end of the bay closed to the beach .
